We headed off from Sydney late on Friday, arriving just after midnight at Cooma, we had pre booked a cheap Motel for the night, and they had left the key in the door and the heater on. Shame about the electric blankets not being on, but still.

Saturday morning was a fill up on Bacon and Eggs, Coffee and Diesel, thankfully got all the right stuff in the right places. Met up with our fellow travelers about 8.30am.
Headed off to Kiandra, plenty of Frost around, and many of the dams were frozen across the surface. A bit of snow lying on the ground as we approached Kiandra, a good place to stop for morning tea.

James and Robbie in the Patrol.

Got up early and interrupted Dad as he was drying off after his shower. Not a pretty site but I got a big hug all the same. Went and found Mum who is a much prettier site. Big hug.

The recent week's rain and forecast wet weather, were not going to deter us from getting away for the long weekend. With all our wet weather clothing and large tarp for shelter packed and ready to go, we headed south on the Princes Highway. At this point there was  no sign of the wet weather easing off. However , two hours into the trip, the rain had ceased and blue skies were ahead. A good sign!
