We all enjoy four wheel driving, camping out in the bush, looking after the environment and improving our driving skills. In short, we provide outdoor recreation for our members. The vehicles owned by our members are as varied as the members themselves and the activities we enjoy include outback trips, weekend trips and day trips. Aside from Driver Awareness which is recommended for all members the club also holds courses for Map Reading, First Aid and Navigation and we have Maintenance Days where members can learn about and service their vehicles under the guidance of more experienced members. Members can also make substantial savings on parts and accessories through our Purchasing Officer. Whilst we enjoy ourselves the club is committed to safe four wheel driving and the club conducts Driver Awareness at no cost to members at regular intervals. Their are five modules of awareness. Basic Driver Awareness is recommended to all Club Members and will introduce you to your vehicle and its capabilities. You will be shown how to negotiate confidently most of the hazards encountered in four wheel driving. Advanced Driver Awareness takes over where the Basic Driver Awareness left off and will show you techniques to overcome most of the obstacles you might come across. Other modules include bush mechanics, navigation and recovery. Trips run by the club range from social events, easy off road excursions through to more difficult trips. Outback trips are included as well as numerous skill building weekends. If you are interested in joining us, please come along to one of our regular monthly meetings. The meeting place is -3rd Greystaynes Scout Hall, Boothtown Park, Gipps Rd, Greystaynes. We meet at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month If you would like further information about the club or its activities please contact : The Secretary, P.O.Box 2552 North Parramatta. NSW. 2151. Got up early and interrupted Dad as he was drying off after his shower. Not a pretty site but I got a big hug all the same. Went and found Mum who is a much prettier site. Big hug.

The recent week's rain and forecast wet weather, were not going to deter us from getting away for the long weekend. With all our wet weather clothing and large tarp for shelter packed and ready to go, we headed south on the Princes Highway. At this point there was no sign of the wet weather easing off. However , two hours into the trip, the rain had ceased and blue skies were ahead. A good sign!

We wondered around the home stead, read the wall paper, and one couple showed true bush spirit and braved the dunny for two.

This world class 4WD competition is like no other event in Australia and is the model for many international events from Morroco, Indonesia, throughout Europe and many other countries.

We moved up into the high dunes to give the sand boards and toboggans a work out.
